The Guest House of Milwaukee found it increasingly difficult to tell its story in a competitive nonprofit arena. It needed a novel, cost effective alternative to traditional marketing channels.
Versant launched a social media campaign using key influencers associated with the brand to tell the powerful story of how Guest House combats homelessness and improves the quality of life in Milwaukee. The goal was to increase community awareness of the breadth of services offered at Guest House and increase donations.
The campaign produced exceptional results: A 35% increase in year-end donations, more than 330,000 Facebook video views, a video view rate of 37%, and media coverage on Milwaukee Magazine and Milwaukee Business Journal digital sites. The campaign generated attention from high profile Milwaukee leaders. Because of its success in 2017, it was repeated in 2018 with new influencers, including a top Milwaukee Bucks executive.
