The Guest House of Milwaukee: Awareness Campaign
…a local non-profit wanted to spread awareness of their mission and bring to life their new brand theme?
What If? Becomes Reality
That was the case with the Guest House of Milwaukee. For well over 30 years, the Guest House of Milwaukee has been engaged in their mission to provide shelter, housing, education, and services to Milwaukee’s homeless who seek to transform their lives with dignity and purpose. While they have grown in the past several years to shelter 86 men each night, provide more than 400 scattered site supported housing units for formerly homeless men, women and families as well as having an onsite mental health and addiction treatment clinic, the perception continued that they were simply a homeless shelter.
Versant created three videos showcasing the transformation of a former Guest House resident, Odell. Odell successfully overcame homelessness and addiction with the guidance and support of the Guest House. Versant shared his message to spread awareness of the Guest House, and show how they are “More Than Shelter.” The messages also feature Cindy Krahenbuhl, the Executive Director of the Guest House, and Pat Dunphy, Attorney and Guest House Board Chair.
What If? Becomes Wow!
The videos have been used on the Guest House website and social media channels, have been mailed to donors, and have aired as PSAs. They have been very successful, triggering new volunteers and interest in the Guest House.
